Meta Platform Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-16

This Meta platform policy applies to the website, products and services offered under the brand WAAPI, operated by WAAPI (“we”, “us”, “our”), acting as the business. By accessing or using our services you agree to this Meta platform policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the services.

1. Our relationship with Meta

WAAPI is an independent software service that integrates with Meta’s business APIs as a technology provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or an agent of Meta Platforms, Inc., Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. or WhatsApp LLC. “WhatsApp”, “Facebook”, “Instagram” and “Meta” are trademarks of their owners and are used here for identification only.

2. What our app does with Meta data

When you connect a Meta asset, we access it only to deliver the features you have enabled: sending and receiving your business messages, managing your message templates and phone numbers, reading and replying to comments and reviews, publishing content you compose, and creating and reporting on advertising campaigns for the ad accounts you link.

3. Permissions we request, and why

We request the minimum permissions each feature needs. If you do not use a feature, we do not ask for its permission.

4. What we never do

  • We never sell, rent or trade data obtained from Meta.
  • We never use Meta data to build advertising or contact profiles, or to target anyone outside your own campaigns.
  • We never post, message or advertise as you without an action you initiated.
  • We never use Meta data to train AI models.
  • We never transfer Meta data to a data broker, or to any party not named in our sub-processor register.

5. Data storage & deletion

Access tokens are stored encrypted and are used only to serve your requests. Message content is retained per our Data Retention Policy. To delete the data we hold from Meta, follow our Account & Data Deletion Policy — that page is our Data Deletion Instructions URL for Meta App Review purposes. You can also revoke our access at any time from Settings → Business Integrations in your Meta account, which immediately stops all further access and causes us to delete the tokens we held.

6. Your obligations to Meta

Using a Meta channel through us makes Meta’s own terms binding on you, directly. In particular you must comply with:

You must message only people who have opted in, honour every opt-out immediately, and keep your quality rating healthy. See our Anti-Spam & Messaging Consent Policy.

7. Meta’s enforcement is Meta’s

Meta can restrict your messaging limits, flag your quality rating, disable a template, suspend a phone number, or ban a business account — on its own judgement and often without giving a reason. We cannot reverse those decisions and they do not entitle you to a refund. We will pass on whatever information Meta gives us and help you file an appeal with Meta.

8. Pricing set by Meta

WhatsApp conversation charges are set by Meta and vary by recipient country and conversation category. We pass those charges through, plus the platform margin shown in your rate card. Meta can change its rates on its own notice period; see our Pricing & Billing Transparency page.
